******spoke to soon LOL we are under a tornado warning and its a pretty big storm going on right now. The joys of living in tornado alley *******


I wish I had something exciting to say but really nothing much has gone on. We are finally on the mend and were able to go to chruch Sunday so that is a big accomplishment!!! I have a list of things that need to be done for primary. Other then that not really a lot is going on, Oh was told that we could be on a tornado watch but so far nothing so thats a good thing. I hope that we have a good week, Kena has been asking all day if this Thursday because that is the day we go to the library and with her being sick last week we didn't go and she was so unhappy. I love the simple things that please her!!

Babcock Family!

Last April while we were in St Louis for easter and my SIL's wedding we had family pictures as it was the first time the whole family had been together since TJ and I were married. I stole this off my BIL's facebook because I havn't received them yet, so Here is our family. Minus Emmett who wasnt here yet!!

The Easter Pictures

I am a little bumed that I don't have pictures of them in there new easter outfits but I will get them this weekend when we go to church. So here is what I have the kids and their Easter baskets

I hope that everyone is having a great Easter!!!! We are having a great day and the kids are enjoying there toys from the Easter bunny. Makena received a jump rope and books and Tanner got a little plastic golf set and some books. They both have loved toting them around, Tanner has carried the putter and ball around all day and has yet to take a nap because he is having so much fun. I did take pictures this morning and will post them later. The only bad part about today is that we are all sick with either allergies or a cold except for Tanner who has a double ear infection, so needless to say we didn't make it to church which I'm a little bummed about but at least we are enjoying the beautiful day as a family!!! Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Movie Review and New calling

The movie was really cute and I totally loved it. Makena did really well and sat and watched the whole thing. Tanner on the other hand had a really hard time as he didn't get his nap before we left and was fighting sleep the whole way there, once we got inside he did ok and watched the movie for a little bit. TJ ended up taking him out to the car and got him to sleep but didn't wait long enough before bringing him back in and he woke up so I ended up holding him in the back of the theater, So I did miss some here and there with taking Tanner out but over all it was a very cute movie and one that I'll buy once it comes out on DVD.

As for my new calling I am now the primary Secretary and also the piano player. I'm really excited about it as its my first time being in a presidency and I get to experience that. From what I was told they reorganized the Young Women and Relief Society and our Secretary was called in to Young Women's. Like I said I'm excited but at the same time i am scared being that its my first time in a presidency. So I'll let every one know how it goes in the next few months!!

My hair cut!!! UPDATED W/PICTURES

I'm so excited i'm just about ready to leave to get my hair cut and its going to be totally different then anything I have gotten before!! i"m supper stocked about it and i'll post pictures of before and after when we get home!!! We are also going to go see Horton Hears a Who!!! Makena has been asking to go see it ever since she saw the preview for it. We are so excited to go and will give a review after we get back!!!!

We got snow!!! Yes I said SNOW, white fluffy, beautiful, now I know that most of you are all sick of snow by now but i'm so happy to see it. We got about an inch or so but it was just enough to make the kids happy and for the schools to cancel. Yep they cancelled school, crazy I know. We had so much fun last night when it started that Makena didn't want to go to bed even though it was midnight, if I would have let her she would have been out playing last night. Once we got up this morning it was all I could do to keep them content till I could get their clothes on and to find some warmer coats, it resorted to Tanner wearing Makena's old snow coat that we got the year before we moved, and Makena was in a older coat as well, all though we didn't have gloves we still had a GREAT time. Makena and Tanner loved playing in the snow and I even had a great time, I'm glad that its all melted now but at least we got to play in it before it melted. It was funny when TJ was pulling up after getting home from work he wouldn't get out of the car because we were trying to hit him with a snowball, Silly daddy. He was telling me that as he went out to walmart last night (open 24hr) it was all slushy and he was thinking to himself that he is happy he doesn't have to drive in it every day. But as he got to walmart they had put up a sign saying they were closed because of the weather. Yep we get 1-2 inches of snow and the WHOLE town shuts down. I know it still makes me laugh just thinking about it.

My daddy

We are approching this time if year again when we celebrate my dad's birthday in April and Death in July. But i'll post more on that when its closer to those dates. I don't remember my sister posting this picture on her blog and the other day her friend's mom email her the picture and was talking about how she made the dress that my sister is wearing out of a dolls pattern because my sister was so small and at the time they really didn't make premie clothing. Its a 21' doll dress that she is wearing. I love the suit my dad is sporting makes me look young and hip!! I can't believe its been almost 4 years since his passing, I miss so much each day.
