Never leave your kids alone with dad LOL

While I went to a Presidency meeting tonight the kids stayed home with dad, which was all good until I got home LOL. Well I got home and the kids were playing and I smelled this wonderful smell of Nail polish. Yep while TJ was in the bathroom the kids climbed up on there craft table and got the nail polish that I had sitting on top of the T.V. and thought it would be a great idea to paint nails. Well as you can imagine it was all over there fingers and Makena got a few places on her dress, now if it was a play dress I wouldn't be so upset but its one of her nicer dresses. Oh I'm so frustrated. So now the nail polish has been put even higher, so if anyone has any ideas on how to get nail polish out of clothes I would love to know. I didn't get any pictures all though maybe I should have LOL.

We also did a few fireworks, Tanner was scared to death and ended up sitting up by the door as far away from them as possible and Makena was down with us enjoying them. I'll try and get some pictures next time we do them.

Sad

It wasn't been the best weekend for use that's for sure. Tanner is sick again and ended up having a fever all weekend and still seems to not be feeling well though is not running a fever now, so hopefully whatever it is, is gone and he will start to feel better, ( although I'm afraid its another ear infection).

This morning when I got up TJ was still awake and was telling me that from the time he got home somewhere around 8ish and 9ish when I got up our doggies got out and "Bob" was hit by a car. Our neighbor came over and was holding Corkey and said that the other was in the street and that Corkey kept nudging him trying to get him up. So TJ went and put Corkey back in the back yard and went and checked Bob and he was no longer with us, So He took care of him, so no one would have to see it, (we have lots a little kids in our neighborhood). So we are down one dog and Corkey is really sad. TJ told Makena what happened and she seems to be handling the news ok but was happy to hear that Corkey was still alive.
Tanner and Bob the day we brought them home.

Our Weekend

We had a fabulous weekend, It started off Friday night when we headed out to our annual branch Fish fry and this year they decided that they were going to do a camp out as well, So we headed out to one of the families farms and enjoyed the company of all that joined us. It was so much fun to be out there and just be away from the noise of the town and to let the kids play with all the other kids that were there. We didn't spend the night as it would have taken us a good amount of money to get everything we would have needed and plus the kids have a hard time sleeping if they here noises they haven't heard before. We were talking with another family and they were talking about going to Murfreesboro, AR to the Crater of Diamonds State Park (if you click on the link it will take you to there website) and invited us to join them, as well as another family.

So that leads us to Saturday, We got up early and gathered everything we would need for a nice day trip. We loaded up the van with the cooler and our swim bag and chairs and ran to walmart to get ice and water because we knew that we would be out in the sun and would need lots of water to drink. We went over to the Bebo's home and waited for Men and kids that decided to spend the night at the camp out.Well they finally showed up and we loaded up the Thomas' Tahoe and put a few more things in to the van and off we went!!

It took about an hour and a half to get there and it was such a pretty drive, So we got there and lubed up the kids with sunscreen and headed in to pay, and then went to another building to get the supplies we would need to hunt for diamonds. We then walked out in the the field and this is what it looked like. 37 acre's of plowed fields.

In the lobby/gift shop area before heading down to the place to get our supplies

The huge field looking left as you walk down in (sorry about the blurry pictures I had a huge smudge on my lens and didn't notice till a few pictures later)

Looking right

So we found a spot and started digging and dug and dug and dug, sifted and sifted and then TJ took the smaller pieces of stuff to a water station and you could wash off what you have found to see if its diamonds or other precious rocks. Well NOTHING LOL of course it helps to know exactly what you are looking for, but none the less we had a great time and the kids had a blast digging in the dirt and then we went and had lunch, then heading to the little pool area to cool off and play in the water. It was such a great time its all that Makena has asked to do since.

TJ searching for his treasure

Walking back to TJ after getting a drink

See if Dad has found anything.

The kids had started to take off so I went after them to make sure they didn't get to far away and as we were walking back I thought this was a great pic as we see TJ just digging away.

I had to stand really far back to get the whole group in the shot, We were really spread out trying to see what we could find.
The whole group of us minus TJ and Lance who is just off camera digging

Here he is!!

The kids playing in the dirt

The little water park, it had 2 slides as well that I didn't get pictures of.

So if anyone wants to come for a visit we will plan a trip to the Crater of Diamonds State Park so you can see if you can find a diamond of your very own, and you get to keep everything you find!!!
