Never leave your kids alone with dad LOL
We also did a few fireworks, Tanner was scared to death and ended up sitting up by the door as far away from them as possible and Makena was down with us enjoying them. I'll try and get some pictures next time we do them.

Our Weekend
So that leads us to Saturday, We got up early and gathered everything we would need for a nice day trip. We loaded up the van with the cooler and our swim bag and chairs and ran to walmart to get ice and water because we knew that we would be out in the sun and would need lots of water to drink. We went over to the Bebo's home and waited for Men and kids that decided to spend the night at the camp out.Well they finally showed up and we loaded up the Thomas' Tahoe and put a few more things in to the van and off we went!!
It took about an hour and a half to get there and it was such a pretty drive, So we got there and lubed up the kids with sunscreen and headed in to pay, and then went to another building to get the supplies we would need to hunt for diamonds. We then walked out in the the field and this is what it looked like. 37 acre's of plowed fields.
In the lobby/gift shop area before heading down to the place to get our supplies
The huge field looking left as you walk down in (sorry about the blurry pictures I had a huge smudge on my lens and didn't notice till a few pictures later)
Looking right
So we found a spot and started digging and dug and dug and dug, sifted and sifted and then TJ took the smaller pieces of stuff to a water station and you could wash off what you have found to see if its diamonds or other precious rocks. Well NOTHING LOL of course it helps to know exactly what you are looking for, but none the less we had a great time and the kids had a blast digging in the dirt and then we went and had lunch, then heading to the little pool area to cool off and play in the water. It was such a great time its all that Makena has asked to do since.
TJ searching for his treasure
Walking back to TJ after getting a drink
See if Dad has found anything.
The kids had started to take off so I went after them to make sure they didn't get to far away and as we were walking back I thought this was a great pic as we see TJ just digging away.
I had to stand really far back to get the whole group in the shot, We were really spread out trying to see what we could find.
The whole group of us minus TJ and Lance who is just off camera digging
Here he is!!
So if anyone wants to come for a visit we will plan a trip to the Crater of Diamonds State Park so you can see if you can find a diamond of your very own, and you get to keep everything you find!!!
