Our new ride

Yep after much talking and finally looking at all our options we finally got our selves in a possition that we could look into getting a new van!!! We talked with the bank yesterday morning and by lunch time they had us approved and we were off to the dealership to check out our choices. They had 2 vans and both were nice. We chose the 05 Chrylser Town and Country touring!! Its LOADED and we got a heck of a deal and ended up getting it less then what we were thinking!! Its got everything except the built in DVD player and we aren't to worried because we already had a portable one that we will just move to the van!! Even leather seats and the power lift gate as well as both sliding doors are power!!! I could go on and on, on how nice it is, but iHere are some pictures of our new to us van!!!

Swimming

Last night we went for a walk but didn't end up very far. Our neighbors just a few houses down were out playing so we stopped by to say hi and by some odd luck Makena thought it would be fun to wear her swimming suit that day. Anywho the kids were out playing in there little swimming pool and slip-in-slide and Makena and Tanner wasted no time joining in. So we just took off her undies and shorts she had over her suit and stripped Tanner down to his diaper they had so much fun and by the time we left they were frozen and ready to get warm. (we went for our walk around 7 pm). Well Makena needed to use the bathroom so we ran home so she could and I grabed the camera and towels. Here is there fun in the water.

I can't wait till we head to NY so spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa at the beach!!! Its going to lots of fun!

Need I say more!?!?

Hair do

I finally convinced Makena to let me do her hair and it was so stinkin cute and this is the ONLY picture I had a chance to take before she took them out. They lasted maybe 30 minuets, if that, I plan on doing it again and i'll take more pictures........

Sleeping habits

My kids have the weirdest places they like to sleep. Well Tanner must have been really comfy to sleeping like this because he stayed this way for quite some time.......

And this is how I found Makena!! All curled up in the rocking chair!

Something fun

Well I have realised that its been quite a while since I last posted anything. I feel like I have nothing to blog about and then was going through the pictures on my camera and realised that I had tons to blog about so I'll post a few pics and story's that go along with them.

Tanner found one of Makena's chap sticks and this was his way of putting it on. It was ALL over his face and you can see even in his eyelashes. It was a pain to get off and most of it had to kinda wear off, plus it was sparkly so he had this his shimmer to him.

TJ had brought in his coats that he wears in the coolers at work so we could have some space in the trunk to put grocery's and Makena thought they were the coolest things ever, As you can tell they drowned her but she LOVED every minuet of playing in them.

One day at storytime they had the headstart group come to the library and "Clifford" was the theme, They watched a clifford movie and then Clifford himself come to visit the kids. It was so fun and Makena loved it but Tanner not so much.

Makena and Clifford
This is the only way I could get Tanner to get a picture with Clifford.
Here is Makena sitting with the group of kids I love her expression and she was so good that it gives me high hopes on how she will do when she gets to pre-k
This is where Tanner was most of the time. He wanted nothing to do with clifford.

Of all the things Tanner could find to eat this was his choice, he was having so much fun eating butter, I don't know what it is but both of my kids find butter yummy even when its right out of the container or a stick. All I can think is YUCK, at least he was happy right?!?

This video was taken during dinner which we had before the butter eating. He was so tired and then got a second wind when we got him out of his chair. Yes we were having a picnic in our front room that night..
And through all they do and all the hitting and screaming they do I love to see them being so loving to each other. They show a love for each other that only siblings have. They are to peas in a pod.

New callings

Well alot have changed in the last few weeks, I was called as the Primary secretary as well as still playing the piano for them and TJ was released as the 2nd counselor for the Young Mens and has been called as a branch missionary and to help our missionaries when they need him. Its good because with him working nights, going to school, and trying to fit family time in there it was really really wearing him a little thin. He is really happy to be released so that he can spend that much more time at home with us, as of recently he just bought new golf clubs (used but new to him from ebay!!!) so I figured this summer he is going to be out playing more golf. I fell that I am finally getting in to the grove of doing the things that need to done each Sunday with my calling and hopefully I can continue to go a good job. I do miss Relief Society but i'm glad that I can be with the kids to teach them the gospel!!!

Time Out for Women

OH MY GOSH what a blast!!!!! I totally recommend that anyone who has the opportunity to go do so it was the best experience that I have had!!! We left our house about 2 to head up to OK city to be there for the Friday night events. When we got there the music group Mercy River was getting the group of us singing and enjoying their music, which was amazing. They are so good and I wish that I would have bought their CD so that I can enjoy there music at home. We then got to enjoy a great presentation from Kim Nelson who is so great and totally put a lot of things in to prospective for me. He did his presentation with Michael McLean who was also super great. I was just in awe at the whole experience. We then went to our hotel and got some sleep as we were back up and ready to go for a whole days worth of enjoyment.

On Saturday we were welcomed with another performance by Mercy River and then Dean Hughes gave a great talk on Self Talk, he talked about how we need to be better at talking to ourselves and not talking down and having patience and he also reminded us that we are not in that big of a hurry.
We were then pleased to hear some wonderful songs and stories from Hillary Weeks. She has the most beautiful voice and come to find out a lady in our Branch went to High School with her. So that was pretty cool to know. She also talked about 4 things that helps her find balance in her life
1. Make sure you are doing what Heavenly Father wants us to do
2. Read our Scriptures
3. Take time for yourself
4. Good Better Best (talk by Elder Oaks) Always find the best thing to do with your time.
She was amazing!!

Then Camille Fronk Olson spoke on how we need to lean on the Lord that he is our constant rock and that he will always be with us.

Merrilee Boyack spoke about sharing your box of Chocolate and how we need to share our service with everyone. She posed a great question Is it to much to ask to share?? She also talked about giving away 5 split seconds of your time to someone else and those 5 split seconds can change the life of others. She talked about doing service as a family and have it centered around the kids and what they enjoy doing.

Jason Wright talked about his new book Wednesday Letters. I can't wait to read this book and he also challenged us to write more handwritten letters.

Carolyn J Rasmus talked about Living my middle name, that we need to also put our trust in the lord and he will give us joy. And that Bad things can and do happen to good people, and that we are nothing without his love.

I was so overwhelmed with the spirit and am still on a spiritual high from it. I can't wait till I can go again next year. It was so amazing and such a great break from the daily grind. A big thanks to my hubby for watching the kids and giving me this great gift!!! I love you

Happy Birthday!!!!

Its a special day on our family its my nephew's birthday as well as my dad's birthday. Remi is turning 6 day and is such a funny kid and he keeps his mom on her toes and is very out going and loves his sister. My
sister's blog has a great tribute to him and has some great pictures of Remi from birth to now and its neat to see how much he has grown. I got a few from her blog to show here but if you want to see more then head over there and give him some birthday love!!!

As for my dad would have been 52 this year and I am sure he would be loving his grand kids and enjoying every moment he could spend with them. I really miss him this time of year and wish that he was still with us but I know that he is always with us and watching over us. Happy Birthday Remi and Dad.

This picture of my Dad, sister and me was talking at her wedding so its a pretty old picture but really he hadn't changed much until he got sick and lost a ton of weight. I'll see if I can get some pictures off my other computer of my dad to add to this one.
