Something fun

TJ had brought in his coats that he wears in the coolers at work so we could have some space in the trunk to put grocery's and Makena thought they were the coolest things ever, As you can tell they drowned her but she LOVED every minuet of playing in them.
One day at storytime they had the headstart group come to the library and "Clifford" was the theme, They watched a clifford movie and then Clifford himself come to visit the kids. It was so fun and Makena loved it but Tanner not so much.
Makena and Clifford
This is the only way I could get Tanner to get a picture with Clifford.
Here is Makena sitting with the group of kids I love her expression and she was so good that it gives me high hopes on how she will do when she gets to pre-k
This is where Tanner was most of the time. He wanted nothing to do with clifford.
Of all the things Tanner could find to eat this was his choice, he was having so much fun eating butter, I don't know what it is but both of my kids find butter yummy even when its right out of the container or a stick. All I can think is YUCK, at least he was happy right?!?

Time Out for Women
On Saturday we were welcomed with another performance by Mercy River and then Dean Hughes gave a great talk on Self Talk, he talked about how we need to be better at talking to ourselves and not talking down and having patience and he also reminded us that we are not in that big of a hurry.
We were then pleased to hear some wonderful songs and stories from Hillary Weeks. She has the most beautiful voice and come to find out a lady in our Branch went to High School with her. So that was pretty cool to know. She also talked about 4 things that helps her find balance in her life
1. Make sure you are doing what Heavenly Father wants us to do
2. Read our Scriptures
3. Take time for yourself
4. Good Better Best (talk by Elder Oaks) Always find the best thing to do with your time.
She was amazing!!
Then Camille Fronk Olson spoke on how we need to lean on the Lord that he is our constant rock and that he will always be with us.
Merrilee Boyack spoke about sharing your box of Chocolate and how we need to share our service with everyone. She posed a great question Is it to much to ask to share?? She also talked about giving away 5 split seconds of your time to someone else and those 5 split seconds can change the life of others. She talked about doing service as a family and have it centered around the kids and what they enjoy doing.
Jason Wright talked about his new book Wednesday Letters. I can't wait to read this book and he also challenged us to write more handwritten letters.
Carolyn J Rasmus talked about Living my middle name, that we need to also put our trust in the lord and he will give us joy. And that Bad things can and do happen to good people, and that we are nothing without his love.
I was so overwhelmed with the spirit and am still on a spiritual high from it. I can't wait till I can go again next year. It was so amazing and such a great break from the daily grind. A big thanks to my hubby for watching the kids and giving me this great gift!!! I love you

I can't wait to go and have a little break away from the kids, I love my kids but I think its a much needed break! Plus they get to have some great quality time with their dad. It should be an adventure for all of them LOL.

Happy Birthday!!!!
sister's blog has a great tribute to him and has some great pictures of Remi from birth to now and its neat to see how much he has grown. I got a few from her blog to show here but if you want to see more then head over there and give him some birthday love!!!
As for my dad would have been 52 this year and I am sure he would be loving his grand kids and enjoying every moment he could spend with them. I really miss him this time of year and wish that he was still with us but I know that he is always with us and watching over us. Happy Birthday Remi and Dad.

This picture of my Dad, sister and me was talking at her wedding so its a pretty old picture but really he hadn't changed much until he got sick and lost a ton of weight. I'll see if I can get some pictures off my other computer of my dad to add to this one.
