Visit with Grandma and Grandpa Babcock

TJ's parents were here for a few days for vacation and we all had a great time. The boys (TJ and his Dad) went golfing most of the time and the kids and I and Grandma went to the museum and hung out.

Tanners Newest adventure

Well i knew it wouldn't be long, he is able to pull him self up on low objects. He has been doing this for a week or so but i was finally able to get a picture of him doing it. Now i know for sure it won't be long before he is crawling

Tubbie Fun!!

Makena wanted in the tub and Tanner was making his way there so I thought I might as well put him in. Well I wasn't in the mood to get in myself and really didn't want to bend over and hold him so I blew up his swim floaty and put him in. He had such a good time and Makena thought it was the coolest thing ever to have that in her tub.

Were we are swimming at the lake again. We have had so much fun and have gone pretty much every weekend now.

Tanners 6 month appointment

Well this kid is growing like a weed. He is now 16.6 lbs and 25 3/4 inches long. He is such a chunky monkey compared to Makena, but he is such a cutie. He is army crawling everywhere and will also pull himself up on to his hands and knees and rock, It won't be long before he is crawling and then i'm in BIG trouble. I was looking at Makena's baby book and comparing the two of them, At 6 months Makena was 13 lbs 7 ozs and 25 1/2 inches. So they are really close in height but Tanner out weighes her by 3 lbs. I know this kid is going to be 20 lbs before he is even 1 and then i'm going to have to buy a new carseat for him.

Tanner's first bike ride

We got this bike from a friend when Makena was little, Makena had it out the other day and Tanner was intrested in it so I put him on and he did very well sitting on it. After a bit Makena wanted to ride to so she hopped on back and the two rode around the front room for a bit.

Swimming

We went swimming last weekend with some friends of ours. Makena and TJ and Tanner all got in but not me since it was only 3 days after my surgery so I took some pictures of Kena and TJ. I sat on the beach with our friend because she didn't want to get in either. We bought Makena one of those floatie things and she loved it. She learned that she could stay above water and swim. She had so much fun that we went back this last Saturday but i wasn't able to get picutres because our camera battery was dead, So we will get some next time.

Update on Family

We had the sugery on Wed of this past week and all went well. I have 5 small insenions and they are healing nicely. We go back monday afternoon for a follow up appointment and hope thats all. I'm just glad they were able to do the laposcopic and not the traditional sugery. Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts as they were much appericated.


Tanner is really getting around now, He has gotten up on his hands and knees and rocks but still hasn't figured out what to do when he gets up there. He is till pulling himself across the floor and is getting his feet and legs involved more. He is such a mommas boy and has a hard time when i leave the room, Makes me feel loved :)

Makena is such a talker its funny. She is learning to be more independent and thinks she is able to everything on her own. We still have to reminder her that she is still little and still needs help with somethings. She loves her brother and loves to make him laugh or pull him across the floor to where she wants him, Good thing he loves her back :)

TJ is still loving his Job and is hoping to get some more experience with the killfloor part of Tyson chicken. He has applyed for a transer to night evis which is the kill floor so that he can start to move up quicker. Tyson has been very nice and thoughtful through this whole sugery thing and have been willing to give TJ time off work and his boss even called to check on me and to see how things were going. Which I thought was very nice.

Emily's sick

Well after 4 months of having this pain in the middle of my chest andback, and now that we finally have insurance again, i went in and had it looked at. Its not my heart thankgoodness but its my gullbladder and it looks like i have Gull stones pretty bad that they want to do surgery ASAP. I woke up this morning around 3 and was doubled over in pain for almost an hour before it eased up enough so i could get some sleep. I had an ultrasound on Monday of this past week and finally got the results today and thats what is causing this pain. So we called the hospital in Paris and Texarkana tx today and both surgens had the day off so I have to make it through the weekend and go in monday to talk with them and probably have the surgary on Mon or Tues of next week. Keep me in your prayers that all goes well and i'll be back on my feet quickly. My SIL and her family are coming down from ST. Louis to be here with Kena and to help when TJ has to go back to work. I"ll keep everyone updated as we find out more and when it all takes place

Makena's first offical hair cut

We finally broke down and cut some lenght off of Makena's hair because it kept getting tangled and she hates having it combed. So while one of our friends was here cutting TJ's hair we asked if she would cut Makena's. We have cut her bangs for a while now but as for everything else this was the first time!!!

Flower

We have this plant by the side of the porch in front and this is the flower that bloomed from it. I haven't found out what it is yet but i'm going to. So here is the flower and then the plant so if anyone of you have an Idea let me know because i sure would love to know what it is.

Tanners first veggie

Well its that time in Tanners life where he gets to try different foods, He has been on rice cereal for about a month now and does really good with it. So Today he tried Sweet Potatos and did very well with them. He wasn't to sure about it at first but after a few bits he was totally loving them. So now we get to keep feeding him them and hope no allergies come and then in 2 weeks we get to add something new. He is so in love with our food i'm sure he will do really well with them.

We were at some friends house last night having dinner and playing cards, Makena found there dress up box and had a Cinderella dress on and then found there son's darth Vader mask and put it on. So our friends snaped this picture of her.

Tanners appointment

We were finally able to get Tanner in to see the doctor since his birth, with moving and not getting insurance till June 1st I"m glad that i'm fianlly able to take him in. This chunky monkey weighted in at 15.6 lbs and 24 1/2 inches long and his head was 16 1/2 inches. He is getting bigger each day and is starting to creep to things that he wants on the floor and i'm sure it won't be long and he will be crawling and walking. I"m not sure if i'm ready for that to happen yet but i can't stop him from wanting to keep up with his sister. He is so funny with her, she can be running in a circle and he starts laughing and kicking his feet in joy. I can't wait to see them play and interact with each other, i dont' know how i'm going to keep with these two. We go back on the 14th of July and then again in Aug or Sept to get his shots caught up so they are done before his 9 month.

Our doggies

These are our newest members of our family. We have had then about a month and a half now and they are the cutiest dogs. Chocolate is the dark and Dasiy is the light. They were droped dogs that TJ picked up one day when he came home for dinner and we have loved them ever since.
