Our weekend in review

Well I wish we really had something very cool to post about but nope. But that won't scare me away from posting about our weekend. But I guess I should state that it all started last weekend with Tanner getting a cough that has progressed in to a cold complete with runny nose. YUCK. Well looks like TJ and I both have the cough now and i'm hoping that its all we get. So we all stayed home from church so that we could keep our sickies here with us but i'm sure they would have loved them their ;)just kidding. I felt bad about staying home as I am the piano player for our primary and we are working like crazy to get the song ready for our primary program. Anywho. Oh I do have some exciting news, Honey has returned hom from her trip to Utah to be with my grandma for her last few days here on this earth. They kids went wild last night when she got back and Makena just didn't want honey to go to sleep and wanted to be right by her side I know exactly where they are going to be when she gets home from work today. stuck right to her side!!!!

Fun Saturday nights

Are you looking for a few fun things to do on a saturday night?? Well I have just found a really cool thing that they do in St. Augustine, Florida the last saturday of every month. The St. Augustine events are something that I think I would really enjoy from antiques, to books and art from locals and authentic Spanish treasure. On the last Saturday of every month the shops along San Marco street come to life with live music and endless opportunities to shop shop shop. All the antique shops, book shops, and all other unique shops that are long San Marco's street remain open for this great event and many offer workshops covering a variety of antique related topics, book stores provide readings and book signings by local authors, and art galleries feature exhibit openings of some of the finest Florida artists. Its a great place to meet the artists, enjoy refreshments and other events to in the party like atmosphere.

The Mission of Nombre de Dios provides FREE PARKING and who doesn't love free parking. This great event starts at 5:00pm and goes untill 9:oopm and will be this coming Saturday October 27th and if you can't make it then they will have this great party again on November 24th and again December 29th. So everyone that is heading that way should check out St. Augustine, Florida for some great shopping, entertainment and atmosphere.

Fall has come!!

I think fall has finally come to Oklahoma. These last few days have been on the cooler side and last night it was actually cool in our house so this morning I turned on the heat to take the chill off. Because of this weather I thought I would make my favorite cookie Pumpkin Chocolate chip. I love this time of year even though I can make them year round they always seem to taste better in the fall. So Makena and I went to the store while Tanner was sleeping to get the rest of the things I needed to make the cookies. Well after getting started I realised I didn't have enough flour or any baking soda so it was off to the store again. Thankfully tanner slept the whole time!!! So get get back and then finished our cookies. I wished I had taking pictures of Makena helping but I was so involved with making them I forgot to take pictures Oh well next time for sure!!! I did get the recipe typed in to word so I'll add it here so for those who would like to make them can!!!!

My beloved Granny

My Grannie Billye Gearldine Hall Humpherys passes away yesterday at the young age of 83. I can't believe how much I am going to miss her and how excited I am that she has returned to her husband "PAPA" and to those open arms of those that have passed away before her. She is truly going to be missed by everyone.

Update

**seems as blogger is having problems adding pictures once it is fixed I will add the pictures**

Well I figured while I was spending a little bit of time on the computer this morning I thougth I would had an update on us as I don't do it probably as often as I should and I wanted to post pictures of Makena in the outfit she got from my mom and stepdad for her birthday.

Well lots have been going on for all of us. We are working on our primary program that will be the middle of November so we are working on the sings and getting ready to start working on the talks and whatnots. I have a new calling and its Primary piano player! I am excited and scared at the same time as I don't mind playing in front of the kids because they could careless if I mess up but the thought of playing in front of all the Adults scares me to death. Guess I should be practiceing more then huh?? lol Other then that i'm just getting ready to celebrate my 27th birthday next wednesday and hopefully going to play some games that weekend with some friends in our branch.

TJ is still going strong with school, work, scouts and trying to spend as much time with his family as possible. He is doing really well in school and has a 3.8 gpa or something like that and really wants to keep it there. Its funny because I have learned quite a bit as well from listening to some of his classes and reading his assignments and helping him as much as possible. Other then that not much is going on with him,

Makena is such a silly girl, one day she is a princess the others she is just Kena. Its so hard to keep up with her somedays. She is so much fun and a big helper with cleaning up and playing with her brother. She keeps telling all the things she wants for her "other"birthday even though her birthday has past, and she is set on getting me the prince charming doll that goes along with her Island Princess Barbie. Hmmm wonder how much TJ will like that idea??

Tanner is just plain funny. He still doesn't have very many words but does very well at letting us know exactly what he wants. He does say please, thank you, mama, dada, nena, and a few others but I love to hear him try and say other words, and his no souns like a cat meowing. Its so funny. He has even went pee on the potty!! He things is so much fun to pee in there and as we really have pushed the potty training yet he seems to be wanting to do it more each day so who knows maybe it won't be long.

Well thats about all that is happening here in Babcock land.

Bloggerwave!!

Well I have found another way to make some extra money for my family or I could just use it as "mad money?" At Bloggerwave they make it super easy to sign up and you get your approval in just a couple of days if not sooner. I'm super excited to take on the new adventure and hopefully I can keep up with it. So if you are looking for a quick and way easy way to make a few extra dollars then this is the place!!

Great books!!

I finally remembered to ask the library if they had the Twilight book and I as so happy that it was there and I didn't have to wait for it!! I started reading it and could not put it down and i stayed up way to late reading it, Well after finishing it, I got my mom to read it and she also could not put it down. So off to the library I went to get the 2nd book in the series and of course it was already check out so I put myself on the waiting list and had to wait about a week and a half for them to call and tell me it was ready for me to pick up. Well that was Saturday and I have already finished it. I was so excited that I started reading it the second I got home!!!! Now of course I am in the waiting phase again for our library to get the 3rd book, but I'm excited to know that I am the 1st on the waiting list so hopefully we will be getting that soon and i can find out what happens. Oh Makena

I was reading my friend Ducky's blog and she was telling some funny things that her husband and daughter were talking about. It reminded me of a conversation that TJ and Makena had Sunday morning. I had a really rough night with Tanner and when Makena and Tanner woke up I could hear TJ talking to my mom so I knew he was home from work so I sent her and Tanner out with him so I could get some more sleep. Well about an hour or so later Makena came in and asked if I wanted breakfast in bed. I was beginning to think that she had spoiled the surprise and that they had made me breakfast. As I was talking to her I was sniffing to see if I could smell anything well to my disappointment there was nothing.LOL Well after cuddling the kids I finally walk out and TJ asked me if I had said something to Makena about making me breakfast in bed. My loving husband thought I had said to Makena that they should make me breakfast Silly silly boy. Nope I said nothing of the sort and was totally surprised that she had thought of this on her own!!! Well maybe one day I will be lucky enough to have breakfast in bed!!!!

Presents for Guys

I have always had the hardest time finding gifts for the men in my live, well at carguygarage they have the perfect gifts for him. As I was looking through there site they have so much to choose from, from tool boxes, cabinets and workbenches. I know that if my dad was still alive this would totally be the place where we would be looking for a birthday or even a Christmas gift for him. He has so many tools so one of their tool boxes would be the perfect gift. As for my husband I think one of their nice workbenches would a great place to start for a man that doesn't have many tools yet. So if you are looking for a perfect gift this would be the place to go!!
